I LOVE FOOD. I love to talk about it, cook it, look at pictures of it, watch shows about it, and I definitely like to eat it. I even scroll Pinterest for recipes to relax and de-stress.
My love for food has not always been a good thing. I’ve dealt with weight issues, eating disorders, fights with my parents and supervisors, and an overall HATE for the beautiful body God gave me.
That all changed a few years ago when I stopped crash dieting and eased into a plant-based, mostly vegan lifestyle. Slowly, I started looking at food differently. I was actually “fueling” my body. It didn’t happen right away. The more I researched, the more I cooked at home, the more excited I got about changing what I put into my body. The pounds fell off, I had more energy, and I stopped categorizing food as “healthy” and “bad.”
My purpose for this website is to show the world (or whoever reads it. Hi, Mom.) that your veggies can taste good! Eating a plant-based, mostly vegan diet can be easy and flavorful. I will post recipes as I make them, some that I’ve thrown together and others that I’ve altered from other recipe sites.
Whether you are looking to make the switch to vegan or are just looking for a “Meatless Monday” meal, I hope you enjoy!
